Metformin and no gallbladder - what are your experiences?

I got my gallbladder out like 3 days ago and I'm already thinking ahead. I was prescribed metformin (for the 2nd time, haven't taken it in YEARS) right before I found out I had gallstones and needed gallbladder removal surgery. I took it literally twice then the whole mess started lol. Anyway, my doctor wants me on it once I heal up and I kinda do too (I'm tried of leaving my PCOS untreated and supplements + diet changes have done nothing for me). Has anyone had experience with this type of situation? I know that metformin is just so lovely on the bowels so did you find that and having no gallbladder made thing worse? I just want to know what to expect from other who have been through it.
