One thing the attitude era nailed that this era has failed miserably at.. Mystique

The attitude era legit had you believing these guys had zero lives outside of wrestling, like when guys were feuding you got the impression they legit hated each other's guts, when HHH would lose the title or the Rock got screwed out of match, you left believed they were so pissed and would do serious harm.

Now you know it's just bunch of guys putting on a show and there to solely entertain. They are sitting with the crowds during shows (cringe af btw), they do these behind the scenes specials showing step by step how everything is planned (there is a saying in the food industry, you never bring the customers into the kitchen to meet the chef.)

You will have two guys legit hate each other in the ring, then next week doing some lame podcast with some no name YouTuber together like they are best buds.

Say what you will about the attitude era, but nothing will top that level of mystique and aura surrounding the product then.
