Ottomans automatically white peacing when we start winning the war?

Im playing as the papal state and i vassalised Epirus while they where at war with them so it drags me into a defensive war as the war leader however as soon as we start winning around 15% warscore the ottomans just sign a automatic white peace with no imput from me. Why is this happening and is there anyway to stop this?
