Siege Process is Painful and Repetitive
After literally the third Siege I ever did almost every single one following has felt identical. The only time there is ever variation is if you have less than around 2 or 2.5 times the amount of soldiers compared to the garrison since you could have a very high casualty battle for both sides with small amount of remaining soldiers fighting. The sieges themselves feels arduous for no reason for example the hordes of infantry under a different commander that have half of their soldiers die from a direct catapult strike.
The breaching process feels tedious since ladders are a death sentence until the area around them is fully cleared out and it's safe to enter. For the most part you are forced to just wait until the battering ram breaks the gate. Warband had much more variety for sieges to with various different ways you could breach the walls. Also, being forced to have everyone invade from one side makes this feel even more repetitive. I know it would be either harder to program or more intensive on your computer/console but this could add so much strategy to sieges. Rather than having 2000 soldiers sit idly and have 500 die from a catapult hit you could send half your soldiers to one side and the other half to the opposite side. The possiblities are huge compared to the limited system in place. A much bigger problem is the actual fighting that ensues once the soldiers breach the walls. The fighting along the perimter on the walls feels unbelievably janky and I can't count the amount of times my sword has gone directly through an enemy, but it did not register as damage. This might be the most poorly executed aspect of this entire game the only time the fighting feels somewhat decent is when you are going to an area with little amounts of enemy soldiers and you can clear them out, especially in those rooms (forget the name) that you walk through. Lastly, although this could apply to much more than sieges, I wish there was some option to just starve out the town and not fight that becomes more likely the longer you camp outside the town. Don't get me wrong the battles are my favorite part of this game I just like the idea of your force being so much greater or the lack of incoming supplies hurting the town to the point they would rather surrender.
